 DVD PICK OF THE WEEK  | ||||
HOT TUB TIME MACHINE  Considering the title of the film, you know exactly what you are getting yourself into. As stupid as the idea may come across, there really is intelligence behind the script. I was not aware I would be consistently laughing throughout to the point where the film should be seen a second time because of missed jokes. Interesting enough, actor John Cusack is billed as the headliner for the film but he is completely out shined by his co-stars. The project was produced by Cusack and directed by his long-time co-writer, Steve Pink (High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank). Apparently, the script has gone through many re-writes but is hailed by the writers of the underrated comedy, Sex Drive, which also shares star Clark Duke. Duke, who started off doing an online television show with best friend Michael Cera, really excels in this film and you will be able to catch him in Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass this April. Hot Tub Time Machine also stars Rob Corddry ("The Daily Show", Harold and Kumar 2), Craig Robinson (plays Darryl on "The Office" and starred in Knocked Up), Lizzy Caplan (Mean Girls, "True Blood"), Collette Wolfe (The Foot Fist Way), Chevy Chase (do I really need to put a film here?) and last but not least, Crispin Glover (Back to the Future, Alice In Wonderland). | ||||

TRUE ROMANCE (1993) Hands down my favorite film of all time! This film was written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott (Man on Fire, Enemy of the State). The scene that takes place between Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper is a masterpiece. The film also stars Gary Oldman, Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Penn, Tom Sizemore and Michael Rappaport. |

8/27/10: Tonight, is the movie show of all movie shows. Go out and get yourself an HD RADIO and tune in to 106.7 HD2 at 7pm. We will be joined by Avatar, Terminator 2 director James Cameron, The Godfather and Apocalypse Now star Robert DuVall, and acclaimed horror director Eli Roth. We will also take a trip down to Heavy Metal land and speak with New York Times best selling author Dave Mustaine about his new book. Also from the movie Takers, we will be joined by Idris Elba. 7/30/10: Tune in tonight to 106.7 HD 2, 3 and 4 to hear an epic movie show featuring Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Ron Livingston, Bruce Greenwood, Larry Wilmore, Jay Roach (director of Austin Powers, Meet the Parents), Hans Zimmer (film score composer for Inception and The Dark Knight) and much more.
